Chinese Visa

Obtaining the visa is the student's responsibility. Please find below some indications to help you with this task:

In general, to attend our programs, a L-tourist visa is enough. Permitted stay goes from 30 to 90 days. We recommend applying in the Chinese Consulate of your country of origin with duration non inferior to the desired program.

In order to guarantee obtaining the desired visa, we suggest following the next steps:

1. Ask the Chinese consulate of your origin country if they grant visa for the desired duration. In affirmative case, apply attaching an ID sized photograph and electronic passport with at least 6 months of validity.
2. If granted duration is inferior to the desired one, there are two options:
   • Once in China, extend visa duration at a local travel agency or at the Immigration Department of the Chinese Police
   • Fly to Hong Kong and apply for new visa at a local travel agency

Please note that for a stay longer than 90 days, tourist visa is generally not valid.

Alternatives:

• Obtain a different type of visa (for example, F- business visa)
• Go to Hong Kong to make a new visa at a local travel agency
