Scope of application
All the conditions explained in this section are applicable to any of the programs offered by My Roomie Teacher.
General conditions of the programs
All our programs include:
10-20 weekly private 50 minutes lessons with your Language Coach
Accommodation:
Individual room in apartment shared with your Roomie Teacher.
Shared kitchen, toilet, Internet, water, electricity
Start: Program begins the night before the first class.
End: Evening the day after the last class.
Our fees exclude:
International flights
Insurance
Visa issue fees
Insurance
To attend our programs you need to have travel insurance covering medical costs in case of accident, disease or repatriation, as well as third party liability. The election of the insurance depends exclusively on the student, and My Roomie Teacher does not assume any responsibility on the adequacy of its conditions.
Enrollment
To enroll you need to fill in our form and in less than 72 hours you will receive an email notifying the availability of vacancies for the desired date. If the availability is confirmed, you have two ways to book a program:
A) Payment of $90 "booking fee", sending us a digital copy of your plane ticket, as well as a receipt of the insurance company (see section 10). Before your arrival, you will receive the address of your apartment, a description of how to get there, as well as the name and telephone number of your Language Coach. The booking fee will be deducted from the total amount to be paid, and in case of cancelation will not be reimbursable.
B) Payment of the full amount of the chosen program. There are discounts for advance payment. Check our Promotions and Discounts section for more information.
Time of payment
The total amount of the program has to be paid at
- 50%: two weeks before the starting date.
- Rest: by the time of your arrival to your assigned apartment in the destination country.
Means of payment
International bank transfer.
Deposit in bank account.
Holidays
Local holidays there will not be class. The corresponding lessons will be retrieved during other working days.
Discipline
The student must conduct himself in a respectful towards the teacher, his mates and the facilities. The student assumes the responsibility to attend the lessons in the initially agreed timetable. If once the program has started the student requests to change the time of the classes, My Roomie-Teacher will do its best to be flexible and adapt to the student's new requirements, guaranteeing the change as long as it is feasible.
My Roomie Teacher's responsibilities
My Roomie Teacher ensures fulfillment of the highest standards in language teaching, as well as the rest of conditions agreed with the student.
In case of any incidence external to our programs, our local personnel will assist the student always in good faith and to the extent of our knowledge to help him with its resolution, being it ultimately the student's responsibility.
Personal data protection
All data will be collected in database property of My Roomie Teacher. Our database is treated with utmost confidentiality and the contained data in no case will be ceded to third parties, neither partially nor totally. At any time the interested party may cancel its membership by notifying us by email the reason for the cancellation.
